Biden Administration’s Comprehensive Policy on AI: Safeguarding Rights and Safety

The Biden administration is working hard to make sure that all government departments use artificial intelligence (AI) in a safe and responsible way.

She stressed how important it is to make sure that AI is used and developed in a way that keeps people safe and lets everyone benefit from its progress.

When it comes to AI applications that could hurt people’s rights or safety, the Biden administration requires that government departments set up special safety rules. For example, travelers should be able to choose not to use the Transportation Security Administration’s face recognition technology at airports.

US Government to Hire AI experts

By the summer, the administration wants to hire 100 AI experts to work for the government. The goal of this hiring drive is to improve the government’s AI knowledge and skills.
