Ray Dalio: People Are Looking At This ALL WRONG
Ray Dalio, billionaire investor and widely considered one of the best hedge managers in recent history, sat down with former United States Secretary of Treasury Larry Summer for a 31-minute interview on Politico’s podcast. The main focus of their conversation was inflation and where the Federal Reserve goes from here. It’s no longer a secret that inflation is beginning to affect everyone, not just Main Street. The national average for gas is currently at $4.25, up from $2.88 just one year ago. Shortages are everywhere and corporations are finally going public with the reality that inflation is negatively affecting their business. It wasn’t too long ago that the Federal Reserve stood firm on the fact that inflation was transitory, which now appears to be wrong. Dalio believes that the Federal Reserve is looking at this all wrong and overlooking very important aspects of inflation and debt that can have dramatic effects on the direction of the economy.
