The broader crypto sector continues to benefit from an increase in risk appetite, with technology shares leading gains among US equities. Ethereum is up 31% in the past 7 days, trading at $1,562.31 with anticipation of news regarding the merger. Solana is up $14.2% in the past 7 days, trading at $42.45, with Polygon and Avalanche both up over 25% respectively. While pundits and analysts are debating if the gains are a fakeout before a deeper downturn, Macro analyst Raoul Pal is looking at it differently. As a guest on ‘The Block” podcast, Raoul stated that he’s buying just as much now as he did during 2020. In 2020, Raoul declared that he was irresponsibly long on Ethereum and later declared it the best trade of his life. Now, Raoul is seeing it like this, if the pundits are right about the downturn, you can lose 30%. but if it rips upward, you can 100x. According to Raoul, the odds are a no-brainer.
